Twitch – TwitchCon Cast
A live, creator-driven broadcast at TwitchCon San Diego—reimagining Total Request Live for a platform where the audience is part of the show.
Live From the Floor
For TwitchCon San Diego 2025, Twitch wanted to create a live show inspired by the energy and cultural impact of TRL, rebuilt for a modern, interactive audience. The result was TwitchCon Cast: a two-day livestream blending stage programming, roaming talent, live music, and real-time audience interaction into a continuous broadcast experience. Six hosts rotated across segments, supported by a live DJ and a steady flow of guests, creating a show that moved seamlessly between structured moments and spontaneous crowd-driven content. TCCast captured the chaos, energy, and unpredictability that define Twitch culture, all while maintaining the professional level of a live broadcast.
A Show That Moves
TCCast was designed as a hybrid experience: part stage show, part roaming capture, part community activation. The result was a constantly shifting signal, bouncing from stage and floor, planned and unscripted, broadcast and participation. Rather than recreating TRL, TCCast evolved it – building a format where the audience wasn’t just watching the show, but actively shaping it. By integrating crowd interaction directly into the structure of the show, TCCast transformed a live convention into a participatory broadcast, where energy flowed both ways, and the audience became part of the narrative.
