Ahead of the highly anticipated release of Stranger Things 5, Netflix asked us to host a weekly get together for fans from around the world.
The result? A series of virtual events as part of a Rewatch Campaign that generated 1.3B earned global social impressions during the month of October alone.
Each Saturday in the month leading up to the premiere, we broadcast an online community space for fans to come and vote on which episodes they wanted to watch together. A live chat feed let the viewers discuss their favorite moments, vote in opinion polls, and share season 5 theories.
Fans who showed up each week were rewarded with special messages from the cast, interactive games, first-look content, and exclusive Netflix Shop discount codes for Stranger Things merch. As a community, they even got to submit questions for the cast that we later asked them live at the Stranger Things 5 premiere.
